Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s Divorce Predicted by an Online Dating Study

There is an interesting online dating site out there called whatsyourprice.com where people sign up and are then paid to be taken on a date.

Real quick on how the site works…

Let’s say I signed up and some woman was interested in taking me out.

She’d send me a message and name what she was willing to pay to have the chance to go out with me.

If I agreed to her price, she’d pay for the date, and pay me for the opportunity to take me out.

Well, they did a study last month that showed how the difference in age between Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore was going to end the relationship sooner or later.

The online dating website looked at the going rate for both men and women based on their age. They found that that men hit their highest value around age 34, while for women, the peak is at age 25.

Let us take the Demi Moore – Ashton Kutcher union as an example.  Demi and Ashton started dating back in 2003 when she was 40 and he was 25.  The green circle on the value graphs show the value at their respective age back then.  Both were valued at approximately $70.

This likely means both valued each other equally, which may provide a simplistic (but scientific) explanation for why the two started dating back then. Over time, as both age, Ashton’s value has been on the rise while Demi’s have declined.  Fast forward to 2011, the orange circles on the curves show Ashton’s value at approximately $158, and Demi’s value at $56, a $101 difference in Ashton’s favor.  This may explain the recent rumors we read about Ashton cheating on Demi, and that their relationship may soon be over.  It is also probably a coincidence that Ashton’s new mistress, Sara Leal, who is 23 years old has a value that is more closely aligned to his. Now, you guys know that I’m not one to get on the latest gossip and news, it’s just not my thing. But I am interested in the study they did on Cougars and Cubs.

In part because it brings me back to my college days sleeping with my professors, and in part because I am happy that people are so open about cougar/cub relationships these days.

I think they are just as common today as they were in the past, it’s just that now everyone is talking about it.

Anyway…

The same day news broke of the split, Kutcher was already on-set at the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank. Fans attending the taping on Friday tell PEOPLE he was “fine” and “very professional” in character as Walden, a recently divorced bachelor written into the script when Sheen left the hit series.

A group of fans who have attended tapings in the past described Ashton as “business as usual.”

“It was a great show. He was his usual self,” the fans tell PEOPLE. “He seemed in good spirits.”

Adds a group of female fans: “He seemed totally normal.”

Kutcher didn’t mention anything about his personal life or seem tired and upset as he stayed after the taping to greet fans, take photos and sign autographs, as per usual. In fact, one attendee tells PEOPLE he didn’t know about the divorce news and wouldn’t have guessed it based on the actor’s behavior at the taping. Source
