Become The Alpha Male—Discover how you can become leader of the pack
You don't have to fight to be an alpha male
Being an Alpha Male is something that the PUA (Pick Up Artist) community tends to focus on.
There’s the thought out there that being the Alpha Male is the be-all and end-all when it comes to picking up women.
I say that’s a load of garbage. That’s right. A. Load. Of. Garbage.
For some reason, we’ve gotten our heads wrapped around the concept that the Alpha Male is the ideal that we should strive for.
So who’s the Alpha Male? Is he the guy who barges into a party and drinks all the beer and takes the women even though he wasn’t even invited?
Is he the guy who can walk up to a girl and her man, start talking to the girl and the guy feels so subordinate that he tucks tail and walks away?
The guy who makes women wet by sheer force of his machismo?
Uh… no. That, dear friends, would describe what is commonly referred to as a Douchebag.
We’ve put such emphasis on the Alpha Male because, as Wikipedia defines it, among social animals:
“The alpha animals are given preference to be the first to eat and the first to mate; among some species they are the only animals in the pack allowed to mate. Other animals in the community are usually killed or ousted if they violate this rule.
The status of the alpha is often achieved by means of superior physical prowess, though it can also be determined by social efforts and building alliances. The individual in the alpha position usually changes when another challenges it to a fight, in some species to the death, and wins.
Consequently, alphas may have to fight individuals in their own group several times to maintain their position throughout their lifetimes. In species where the fight is to the death, alphas rarely reach old age. In some species, a nomadic individual may approach the alpha, successfully beat him, and thus become the new alpha.
When this occurs in the lion community, the new alpha usually kills the previous alpha’s cubs. In addition, several lions may share alpha privileges in what is usually called a coalition. The social group usually follows the alpha to the hunt and to new breeding or resting grounds. The alpha is thus sometimes seen as deciding the fate of the group.”
Makes sense, right? Yes…until you realize that humans have juuuuuust a few more things thrown into the mix than apes do. We’ve got highly developed emotions, preferences, morals, outlooks, personalities, wants, needs, fears, goals and objectives that other primates don’t bother with.
While all we REALLY want to do is eat, sleep and screw, it doesn’t work like that in the real world. Thinking that women are just attracted to machismo, cockiness and testosterone, and doesn’t place any value on brains, education, personality, sensitivity or ability certainly doesn’t give the fair sex much credit.
You may have noticed, but women are a little more complex than that. Women need EMOTIONAL CONNECTION in order to feel attracted. And you can’t build emotional attraction at the same time you’re being a douchebag. Just doesn’t work.

Real connections and relationships cannot be maintained if you’re being the “Alpha Male”. Because according to what the PUA crowd spews about the Alpha Male, you can’t compromise, sacrifice, commit…or anything else that makes a healthy relationship work. (See? It ain’t gonna work Junior!)
What the real Alpha Male can do is control himself. He knows himself and is confident that he has something to offer the world. If he chooses to punch someone in the face for being a dickhead, he can do it. But more often than not he can realize that the dickhead is just a silly, overcompensating little boy–who is peacocking to hide insecurities he can’t seem to deal with in a healthy way–and let it slide.
The real Alpha Male doesn’t need to peacock. He KNOWS he’s the most important person in the room, with the most to offer. Since he KNOWS it, he doesn’t always have to SHOW it. He can, if he needs to, but he also knows that his actions show the man he is, not the volume of his voice.
There are tons of ways to demonstrate your true alpha-ness, through the words you use to describe yourself online, and the communication you have with women through email and responses on dating sites.
