Nigerian conman steals $13,000

Okay, you guys might be interested in this story about a woman in England who got scammed by some guy in Nigeria.

The sound in the video sucks, and the image quality didn’t show up well on my computer, but it’s worth watching just to see how smart these online dating scammers are.

Basically some guy tells this lady he loves her. She decides she loves him too, and she sends him money to pay for a medical emergency for his son. Then she gives him money to fly to Heathrow and he would pay her back. All-in-all she’s out over $13,000 US dollars at this point.

Well, he doesn’t show up and she gets suspicious. She finds a website that LOOKS LIKE it’s set up to catch these scammers

The website has an official sounding name and claims it tracks down and prosecutes these Nigerian scammers…

Turns out that was a scam too. And the fake agency asked her to send more money so they could set up a sting operation and catch this guy in the act.

Needless to say, she sent her money and the agency gladly scammed it without another word.

Oh hey, if you don’t make it to the video that’s cool, but one of the comments from a guy is great. He says “How come I can’t even find a date and these guys never even meet the girl and she sends him money?”
