Your Online Dating Profile
Okay, today I’m going to go over some basics on how to get ranked at the top of searches on online dating sites.
First of all, when I’m talking about “searches” I’m NOT just talking about the times when a woman clicks all the things she wants and then hits “Go” and has the site’s algorithm show her a list of guys and their thumbnails.
Yes, that’s part of what I’m talking about, but “searches” for our purposes also includes those little thumbnails of your main profile picture that sites show you that say something like: “Also check out…” or “Take a look at these users too…” or “You might also be interested in…” or “Suggested matches” or “Possible love interests” or WHATEVER they say… you get the idea. More people click on those little thumbnails than do a search… so staying high in the rankings is really important.
The algorithm on most sites gives brand new profiles and profiles with new pictures the highest rankings in the searches.
1. Change your online dating profile picture
The first thing you want to do is change your picture. Well, you don’t have to actually change your picture, you just have to get the algorithm think you did. So here’s what you do.
First, find the picture you want for your main profile picture on your computer, if it’s the same one that’s up there now, you need to rename the picture on your computer.
Then simply upload the “new” picture with the new name and delete the “old” one.
2. Stay logged in
The next most important thing online dating sites to rank you in searches is how long it’s been since you were logged on. So, you want to do is be signed in as much as possible and as often as possible. The more you’re signed in, and the longer you’re signed in, the higher up you rank in the searches. So stay logged in, even if the site is only running in the background.
3. Log on frequently, at least once a day.
You also want to be logged in at least once every 24 hours even if it’s just to log on and immediately log back off. This will only take a minute, and it pays off big for staying at the top of searches.
4. Send a message as soon as you log on
Also, send out an email as soon as you log in. Again, the algorithm on most sites keeps track of the frequency of your emails. The more you email, the more often your thumbnail gets viewed by women.
5. Set up a whole new online dating profile
And, the best thing to do, though it takes more time, is to create a whole new account. So, if you have another email address you can create a new account with, do it. This is the single most effective way to rank at the top of the searches and have your thumbnail show up. For the first week your profile will stay up near the top of the searches as long as you log on at least once every 24 hours.
