What women say want and what they really want are two different things

Online Dating Study Reveals what people say they want doesn’t match with what they really want

An online dating study shows that what people say they want and what they really want are not always the same.

I don’t know how I missed this… but in the post I did about the latest online dating studies, there was one I totally overlooked.

A couple of my readers emailed me and showed me this quote from one of the guys doing the research:

“What people say they want in a mate and what qualities they actually seek don’t tend to correspond,” said Coye Cheshire, an associate professor at the School of Information at Berkeley who has studied this with Mr. Fiore, Professor Mendelsohn and Lindsay Shaw Taylor, a member of the school’s self, identity and relationships lab. Source.

Well, I’m all over this!!!

Because you guys know I don’t believe people REALLY know what they want and what makes them attracted to someone. Heck, I totally ripped into the idea of using cocky funny lines and how girls like guys with a good sense of humor.

And this latest study just backs up what I have been saying for ages…

What women say they want in a guy isn’t even close to what they want.

Here is my list of things they say they want, but really don’t.
Bringing flowers and kissing up to a girl might be okay, but you have to know when to surprise her.

A romantic guy who will bring them flowers.
Yeah, right… A vulnerable girl who has just been dumped by a cheating boyfriend might go for this kind of thing in the beginning of the relationship. But, if things keep going, the guy had better keep her guessing. And better not kiss up to her.

A guy with a sense of humor
Nope. Wrong order. the right order is:

Girls are attracted to a guy, so they laugh at him and think he has a good sense of humor.

I’m sure you’ve listened to some guy say the stupidest things to a girl and the girl just laughs and laughs. Well, what’s happening there is that the girl likes him, so she thinks he’s funny.

The guy who takes care of her and the kids, comes home every day after work, and brings security into her life.
This one is half right. Women want all that. And they are initially attracted to guys who can provide that… but I can tell you from experience on both sides of the coin that when their hormones start raging…

…it isn’t always their boyfriend or husband who comes home like clockwork each day that they unleash that passion on. Often as not, it’s the adventurous rebel who rides that wave.

For exactly how to hit her attraction triggers, I’d highly recommend getting my system Instant Internet Attraction. Yep, the title has “Internet” in it, but it works as well for offline seduction as it does for online.

Attraction doesn’t change if you are on or offline, and the things women say they want, are NOT what they REALLY want.

Enjoy, JT
